Every feature, organized by plan — search to jump straight to what you need.
Where to find it: Review a Contract (top nav)
Upload a PDF or DOCX, or paste contract text directly. ContractClerk flags every risky clause in plain English, in under 30 seconds. Free tier includes one contract review per month; Pro and Business are unlimited.
Where to find it: Dashboard (top nav)
Every contract you review is saved to your dashboard so you can come back to it later, re-download the report, or start a new review.
Where to find it: Results page → "Download Report"
After a review completes, download a PDF summary of the risk analysis, clause-by-clause breakdown, and top recommendations to share or keep for your records.
Where to find it: Pricing (top nav) or the "Free plan" badge next to your account menu
Upgrade anytime from the Pricing page. You can switch between Pro and Business later without losing any of your saved contracts, templates, or clause library.
Where to find it: Review a Contract (top nav)
Pro and Business remove the monthly review limit. If you upload a scanned (image-based) PDF, ContractClerk automatically runs OCR to extract the text before analysis — you'll see a banner confirming OCR was used and how confident the extraction was.
Where to find it: Generate (top nav)
Describe what you need in a chat interface and ContractClerk drafts the contract with you turn by turn, tracking which details are still missing. Your progress auto-saves after every message — if you navigate away, a "Continue a draft in progress" card appears on your Dashboard so you can pick up where you left off from any device. Click "Save Contract" any time to save the draft (no need to run a risk analysis first), or run a risk analysis afterward for a full clause-by-clause breakdown before saving. Use "Start Over" to abandon a draft and begin fresh.
Where to find it: Contract detail page → Versions tab
Upload multiple versions of the same contract (e.g. your draft, the counterparty's redline, the final signed copy) and select any two to see a side-by-side diff with an AI-generated summary of what changed.
Where to find it: Templates → Clauses, or "Save to Library" on any clause in a full analysis
Save clauses you like — your own or ones found in a contract you reviewed — so you can copy them into future contracts. Add clauses from Templates → Clauses, or save one directly from a clause you're viewing during a review. Saved clauses also appear in the clause picker while you generate a contract.
Where to find it: Settings → Playbook Rules
Create rules that automatically flag specific terms or clauses (e.g. "always flag any mention of exclusivity as High risk") across every future contract review. Rules only apply going forward, not to past analyses.
Where to find it: Templates (top nav)
Start a new contract from a proven system template, or import your own from a file. Any contract you've saved — whether generated by AI or uploaded for review — can be turned into a reusable template via "Save as Template" on its detail page.
Where to find it: Contract detail page → Deadlines section
ContractClerk automatically detects expiration dates, renewal windows, and payment due dates during a review. You'll get email reminders in advance (customize how many days ahead in Settings → Notifications). If a detected deadline's date is unclear, you can fill it in manually before saving.
Where to find it: Dashboard (top nav)
Rename any contract card inline, drag cards to put them in your own custom order, or delete a card to archive it (its history is kept, it just leaves your active list). Filter by status, risk level, or search by name, and sort however you like.
Where to find it: Settings → Notifications
Turn deadline alerts on or off and choose how many days in advance to be reminded. Business-tier users can also toggle counterparty-activity and signature-update emails here.
Where to find it: Contract detail page → Sharing tab
Send a secure, read-only link to the other party — they don't need a ContractClerk account to view it. The share dialog previews exactly what they'll see before you send. Links can expire after 7 days, 30 days, or never, and you can revoke access at any time.
Where to find it: Contract detail page → Negotiation tab
Move a contract through its lifecycle — draft, under review, negotiating, pending signature, active — with a single "next step" button, and see a full activity timeline of every status change and note.
Where to find it: Contract detail page → Negotiation tab → "Send for Signature"
Add one or more signers and send a signature request. Each signer gets a signing link by email; if an email doesn't arrive, use the "Copy Link" button next to their name to send it yourself. Track who has and hasn't signed from the same page.
